Miss Namibia's second runner-up, Diana Andimba is back home after competing in the Miss Earth 2022 pageant.  
 
The beauty contest which took place in Manila, Philippines last month saw Andimba making it to the top twenty. 

Limited resources and poverty among people in rural areas are hampering efforts to end the spread of HIV/Aids in Namibia.

It was an intimate affair as Andimba was welcomed by her father, aunts, and niece. 

The beauty queen says it was an honour representing Namibia internationally and that making it to the top 20 is just the beginning of greater things to come. 

"The sky is the limit. If you have dreams, goals, aspirations, and anything that you want to achieve, it's absolutely possible to put your mind to it. If you put in the hard work and dedication it needs, anything is possible and if you have an amazing team behind you, even greater things can happen." 

Andimba was recognized as an African delegate with the best Eco video, at the pageant. 

"I am with the best team, I am with the NBC team, what else can I expect? I really have to give thanks to all the people from my team."

The National Director for Miss Namibia Organisation, Umbi Karuaihe-Upi said we won the eco video for the whole of Africa, we have the most experienced, skilled people in the whole country and it came through that video Diana won for Africa. She did us proud."

The MISS EARTH Pageant is an International Environmental Event channeling the beauty pageant entertainment industry as an effective tool to promote environmental awareness.
