The Chief Executive Officers of State Owned Enterprises met at Midgard for a team-building exercise in preparation for the annual general meeting of the Public Enterprises Chief Executive Forum.

Issues discussed during the team-building meeting include the essentials of effective leadership, enhancing social relations, and defining roles within teams.

About 30 CEOs from various public enterprises attended the engagement.

Chairperson of the Public Enterprise CEO's Forum, Immanuel Mulunga, stressed the importance of CEOs comparing notes.

"The public enterprises CEO forum is a very important forum where various public enterprises owned by the government come together to create a platform to talk about issues that are common to all of them and to engage with the shareholder. There are various activities we do. Recently, we met with the Minister of Education, Anna Nghipondoka, and she shared the challenges they have with the education system, and we decided to see if we could give a helping hand as the public enterprise, because the public enterprise is an important sector in the economy, and the amount of assistance we can give is huge."
