The Keetmanshoop Secondary School is converting unused open spaces into makeshift classrooms. The school this year again added an open-air learning space after converting yet another bicycle shade into a class to stem classroom shortages at the school. The school hall has also been turned into a classroom.
The school Principal Stanley |Ui-#Nuseb blamed bureaucratic red tape as a major factor that delays the construction of extra classrooms needed due to the school's population growth each academic year. The principal also noted that the school's computer lab server is outdated and appealed to the business community for support.
