The Chairman of the Namibia and Botswana's joint Bid Committee for the 2027 African Cup of Nation said, the committee is satisfied with their work after the completion of Facility Audit in Windhoek over the weekend.
Speaking to NBC Sport at the Windhoek Country Club - the Chairman of the joint Bid Committee Asford Mamelodi said the final status audit involving all key stakeholders was concluded in Namibia after a similar excercise was concluded in Botswana.
The conclusion of this phase will allow the Committee to look at the future with confidence if they are to win the heart of the Confederation of African Football Executive Committee for the chance to host the continental premier competition in 2027.
A Durban based architect Ruben Reddy has been roped in to conduct the facility audit and advice where it is neccessary due to his vast experience in the field over the years.
CAF requirements to host the AFCON tournament includes to provide at least six competition venues, top-notch hotels, good road and network systems and up to standard broadcasting facilities to mention but a few.
