Residents of Katima Mulilo have welcomed the dissolution of the town council, expressing dissatisfaction with alleged poor decision-making and mismanagement over the years.

The cabinet has taken two key decisions during its 18th decision-making meeting. 

Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Minister Emma Theofelus says one of the two is the hosting of the Egmont Group of Financial Intelligence Units plenary meeting in Namibia in July 2027. 

A Grade 1 teacher at Rogate Primary School in Otjwarongo, Gelda Waterboer, who had gone viral on social media for teaching children to report anyone touching their private parts, vowed to make it her mission to equip and advocate for the safety of children.

The Katutura Old Age Home celebrated the 90th birthday of former President Hifikepunye Pohamba.

Pohamba donated various items as a token of appreciation to the elders for being role models of resilience.

Former Deputy Minister of Finance Maureen Hinda-Mbuende has been appointed as the Interim Managing Director of the National Petroleum Corporation of Namibia (NAMCOR).

She takes over from Victoria Sibeya, who has been serving as acting managing director since April this year.
