Namibia has launched the first Bloomberg Finance Lab at the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST), the first of its kind in Africa.

Newly elected members of Namibia's eighth Parliament have received important resources to help them in their new roles.

Each member will be presented with a copy of the Namibian Constitution, a laptop bag, and copies of a publication discussing the connection between food and energy.

The Minister of Mines and Energy, Tom Alweendo, has emphasised the need for policies that maximise economic benefits from the energy sector while ensuring Namibia remains competitive in the global market, particularly following noted oil discoveries.

The Namibia Revenue Agency (NamRA), in collaboration with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), have launched Tax Inspectors Without Borders in Namibia.

Students at the International University of Management (IUM) are urged to grab every opportunity to gain knowledge and skills and be agents of change.

The students were reminded of these facts during the official opening of the institution's 2025 academic year in the capital.
