Namibia celebrated its independence in 1990, for which its people waited for decades following a protracted war against the colonial South African occupation.
The nbc's former Head of News and Current Affairs, Claudie Ikela, says Namibia should take the momentum from Founding President Sam Nujoma's ideologies and reach for greater heights as a nation.
Ikela was privileged to interact with the late Nujoma on numerous occasions during her career.
"Some of us look great because we are standing on the shoulders of giants".
These were the words of nbc Director General Stanley Similo during an interview focused on the broadcaster's extensive coverage of the Founding President's final farewell.
After three weeks of mourning, which included regional memorials with the remains of Dr. Sam Nujoma, Namibians, joined by international dignitaries including Heads of State, laid the Founding President and Father of the Namibian Nation, Dr. Sam Nujoma, to rest at the Heroes' Acre.
