The Minister of Finance, Iipumbu Shiimi, has announced significant tax reforms and budget adjustments aimed at supporting the economy and providing relief to taxpayers.

Finance Minister Iipumbu Shiimi's mid-term budget features a N$1.1 billion allocation to the goods and services across various government departments.

This includes a specific allocation of N$200 million aimed at supporting the Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN).

The Namibian Police has assured the public that stringent security measures will be in place for the upcoming Presidential and National Assembly Elections. 

Some political party representatives who accompanied the Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) to Johannesburg to observe the printing of ballot papers for the upcoming November elections have voiced concerns over the transparency of the process. 

Over three million ballot papers for the 27 November Presidential and National Assembly Elections arrived at the Hosea Kutako International Airport today.
