Agriculture is more than just a means of production—it's a pathway to prosperity for around 70% of Namibia's population. 

The National Institute of Technology (NIT) has established itself as a leader in action-based learning, offering courses that equip students with practical, hands-on experience, preparing them to seamlessly enter the job market.

The institute offers 70% practical application and 30% theory.

The Etunda and Sikondo Green Scheme Irrigations, located in Omusati and Kavango East regions, were recognised for their excellence, winning top honours at the Namibia Agronomic Board's (NAB) National Agronomic and Horticulture Awards, held at Olushandja.

The Kavango East Region has recorded over 3,300 cases of malaria so far this year.

In response, the Ministry of Health and Social Services is urging residents to allow indoor residual spray teams into their homes as the malaria prevention campaign officially kicks off this Monday. 

President Nangolo Mbumba has highlighted a concern that the global systems established since 1945 continue to favour the countries that emerged victorious from World War II. 

According to the President, it is time for the Summit of the Future to address and correct this longstanding imbalance.
