Raising awareness for a particular cause can be done in many ways.

But, recently, more individuals and organisations are taking to the roads through walkathons to raise awareness on social issues. 

The Namibia Teenage Mother and Child Organisation (NaTeMeCo), in collaboration with KPMG, held a charity event in Windhoek's Havana Informal Settlement, where they handed out sanitary pads and nappies to cater for teenage mothers and babies.

To educate parents on the importance of positive discipline in children and behavioural management, Veutile Education Consultancy held a one-day workshop.

The workshop tackled issues such as single parenting, psychology, social development, and the stress of children.
