The police are stepping up their commitment to provide safety and security with the inauguration of a new police station at Endola in the Endola constituency of the Ohangwena Region.

The upgrade of a five-kilometre water pipeline near Henties Bay is expected to start soon, following the awarding of a N$15 million tender to a local company.

The pipeline ferries water from the Omdel acquifier at the Omaruru river mouth to ensure water supply at Hentiesbay.

The Ministry of Works and Transport has expressed satisfaction with the progress made with the renovation of the Katutura Intermediate Hospital. 

Executive Director Esther Kaapanda visited the hospital on Friday to assess the progress of the renovations.

The Ministry of Environment, Forestry, and Tourism says Germany's decision to restrict or ban the import of hunting trophies could harm Namibia's conservation efforts. 

The visiting Brazilian business delegation has proposed projects that would add value to Namibian products.

The delegation led by Brazil's Ambassador Vivian San Martin met President Nangolo Mbumba at State House, marking the conclusion of its weeklong visit to Namibia.
