Vice President Lucia Witbooi is currently on an official visit to the Omaheke Region, where she is touring the area and engaging with various marginalised communities.

SADC says its Emergency Response Team will support Mozambique and South Africa by establishing a comprehensive assessment of the humanitarian situation caused by recent devastating floods, including response capacities and priority needs.

The assessment is expected to inform a targeted regional response.

The Standing Committee on Economy, Industry, and Public Administration paid a courtesy visit to the office of the ||Kharas Governor, Dawid Gertze, this morning.

A two-day workshop, hosted by the Ministry of Environment, Forestry and Tourism, will see public officials, together with industry players, probe matters of environmental management and the potential related crisis shocks.
