Father Tjijombo St. John's Faith Mission Church ordained Archbishop Julius Hoveka as bishop of the church.

The position of archbishop became vacant following the death of Bishop Petrus Tjijombo in 2023.

Alfred ||Khamuxab has been ordained as the new chief of the Hai||Om San Traditional Authority.

He takes the seat from his father, David ||Khamuxab, who stepped down in 2024 due to health issues.

The University of Namibia (UNAM) southern campus has celebrated the significant research progress and output of its more than N$130 million Rhino-Halliburton Technology Centre, highlighting its role in driving research excellence. 

Vice President Lucia Witbooi has said poor infrastructure and complex travel logistics remain key barriers to intra-African trade. 

Witbooi addressed a session titled 'Discover Namibia' at the Intra-Africa Trade Fair underway in Algiers City, Algeria.

The Directorate of Education in the Zambezi Region celebrated teachers, department heads, principals, and learners who performed well during the 2024 academic year.

It lauded the region's improved performance as a collective achievement.
