The Ministry of Health and Social Services has donated 440 white canes to the Namibian Federation of the Visually Impaired.

The donation is part of the ministry's vision to have an inclusive society by empowering people with visual impairments to move freely and safely. 

Ohangwena Governor Kadiva Hamutumwa has reiterated calls on Namibians to seek help and express their emotions as a means to reduce suicide.

The Vice President of Sudan's Transitional Sovereignty Council, Malik Agar, paid tribute to and laid wreaths at the graves of Founding President Sam Nujoma and President Hage Geingob at the Heroes Acre.

In the Kavango East Region, an amount of over N$243 million was invested in the health care programmes over the last financial year.

The funds went towards the renovation of two district hospitals, three healthcare centres, and 25 clinics and assisted in the outreach programme.
