State Chief of Protocol, Leonard Iipumbu has been appointed as Namibia's Ambassador to Angola.

This was announced in a statement issued by the Presidency on Friday.

G4S Namibia says that a lawsuit filed by NAMDIA is vague and lacks sufficient detail to assess the alleged loss.

NAMDIA seeks N$314 million in damages following a diamond theft at its headquarters on January 18.

The SADC Secretariat has been directed to engage strategic partners, such as the Indian Ocean Commission, the African Union, and the United Nations, over the political and security crisis in Madagascar. 

These engagements are to ensure coordinated and complementary interventions. 

President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah says she is confident that the people of Kenya will find strength and unity in overcoming the death of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga. Odinga died on Wednesday in India, aged 80.
