The archers’ performances were of a very High standard performances were displayed by the archers on both days with twelve Namibian records broken. There were 21 archers participating in 11 different categories. The Independence Shoot was important for the Recurve archers as they are preparing for the African Continental Qualifier for Youth Olympic Games 2018 in Algiers, Algeria in July. It was equally important for the Recurve and Compound cadet archers who are also preparing for the South African Nationals competition they will attend over the Easter weekend.
