ARCHERS AWARDED NATIONAL COLOURS

Earlier today, the Namibia Sports Commission awarded four Namibian archers with full national colours - ahead of the African Regional Field Archery Championships that are taking place over the weekend. The Archery Association of Namibia is set to host the 2017 African Regional Field Archery games in Windhoek. The Championships will see archers from South Africa, Zambia, Botswana and Namibia competing from the 29th of April to the first of May. As part of blessing the tournament, as well acknowledging the games, four archers received their national colours this morning from the Namibia Sport Commission. At the event, the Chairman of the Sports Commission, Joel Mathews, urged participants to take pride in being the country's ambassadors. Close to 84 archers are expected to compete, with 29 Namibians also participating.
