Indongo visits Namibia Sports Commission

Confidence, hard work and dedication are the key for success. These were the words of Africa's decorated world boxing champion Julius Indongo when he visited the Namibia Sports Commission this morning. Accompanied by his team, world champion Julius Indongo visited the commission's office on the invite of administrators earlier today. The main purpose of the visit was to welcome the boxing champion back home, after he successfully defended his two world titles, while also adding the WBA to his collection. Indongo made use of the platform to show his IBF/IBO and WBA unified titles to the Sports Commission leadership. The Namibia Sports Commission's Chief Sport Administrator, Freddy Mwiya, thanked Indongo for bravely hoisting the country's flag on various occasions. Mwiya said the commission wanted to acknowledge the achievements Indongo made for the country and that he was a good example for the youth. He also encouraged Indongo to keep up the good work. On his side, the Sports Commission's Chairman,Joel Mathews urged the world champion to keep reminding other countries about Namibia's talent. The world champion encouraged other athletes to be dedicated and always believe in themselves to succeed. Indongo said the road to success is not easy. One needs to be confident and work hard to be successful. Julius Indongo is currently the only boxer on the African Continent who holds unification world titles.
