Jeremia Kakathila retains WBO Africa Super Featherweight title

Swakopmund-It was a good night for Namibian Boxers at the Dome last night with Jeremiah Nakathila retaining his WBO Africa super featherweight title by way of TKO in the fourth round knock against Wilson Masamba of Malawi on Friday. Nakathila's triumph came in the main bout of the Desert Rumble Boxing bonanza at the Swakopmund Dome, which was jointly promoted by Kalakoda Promotions and Nestor Sunshine Boxing Academy. Nakathila simply dominated from the start with his reach and raked in the points with a long sharp jab and heavy combinations to the head and body of Masamba. Masamba was simply not coping and went to the canvas as early as the 3rd round. Nakathila continued his impressive skills and finished his opponent in the 4th round. It's now a hat trick of defenses for Nakathila at defending the WBO Africa super featherweight Belt. In other fights Onesmus Nekundi won the WBF Africa junior lightweight title with a split points decision over Abraham Ndaendapo. Young Protégé Harry Simon Junior maintained his unbeaten record with a great display to beat Lukas Handivele by way of TKO IN THE 4TH ROUND Another Namibian who was a highlight for the evening Lukas Ndafoluma won his WBF Inter-Continental middleweight title again with a fourth round TKO win over Ebenestus Kaangundue.
