Lions win Neymar Junior Five tournament

Windhoek-Lions from Oshakati made local football history when they beat Bethlehem 1-0 to represent Namibia at the Neymar Junior Five tournament in Sao Paulo, Brazil July. The marathon Namibian leg of the Neymar Junior Five tournament concluded with the final match between Windhoek based Bethlehem team from Khomasdal and the Lions from Oshakati. It was a tense final with the trip to Brazil on each player's mind and after a 0-0 draw the match was decided on a one on one golden goal in which Pieter Hailombe won the ball in his own half and going all the way to score the winning golden goal that send his team to the football crazy Brazil. Event organiser and former Brave Warriors Collin Benjamin was over the moon with what he witnessed and the whole organisation of the Namibian leg of the tournament. Lions will leave the local shores for Brazil on the 21st of July.
