Local boxer Jeremia Nakathila narrowly lost a tough fight against Chuprakov on points over the weekend. According to a press release by the Nestor Tobias Boxing, and Fitness Academy, Nakathila came out strong and clearly won rounds one to seven. The fight however slowed down in the later rounds as both opponents resorted to holding each other. Nakathila was brought down twice in the fight, however not through a knockout, as the two men wrestled each other to the floor. In the end, what seemed to be a clear win for Nakathila, the judges scored closely but in favor of Chuprakov who is now the WBO Inter-continental champion. “The lost takes nothing away from Nakathila who remains a great fighter, this is his first lost and first fight away from home, he can only learn from this experience and the mistakes he made, all we can say in this instance which one hardly say in the boxing is that the better boxer lost” commented Nestor Tobias.
