Namibia's Cricket team beats Kwazulu Natal with 18 runs

The Sparta cricket club – based at Walvisbay - is well-known for its batting-friendly pitch and the Namibian team used these good conditions well after they were sent into bat first and scored a massive 302 for 9. Namibia lost their first wicket on 97, with both opening batsmen scoring 50 at the end. Some more good batting by the middle order batsman saw Namibia going over three-hundred. Kwazulu Natal Inland started of well in the first power play, until Van Wyk was cleaned bowl by Frylinck for twenty-four runs. Opening partner Khan batted on well and scored 76 runs from 80 balls. The Inlands middle order also batted well and so the chase was on. Too many wickets fell in the last part of the innings and the lower order was just not up to the good bowling of Frylinck that took three wickets for 50 runs in his permitted ten over spell. The Kwazulu Natal Inland team fell short with 18 runs and was bowled out for 284 runs in their fifty overs. Namibia are currently 5th on the cross combined log standings and will play Gauteng on the 18th of December.
