Rugby Limited hosts first meeting

The Namibia Rugby Union's newly established business arm - Namibia Rugby Limited - hosted their first meeting in Windhoek this weekend. Namibia Rugby Limited is a new company which will take care of all the national teams and the High Performance activities, which includes the NRU's National Academy. The new company held their first board meeting where they looked at ways and means of how to strengthen the game of rugby on another level in the country. NBC Sport asked the new CEO what was subject at the meeting. “The board meeting was very fruit -full we discussed the objective of NRL and how the Business arm will help professional rugby in Namibia. World Rugby has identified three African countries and the plan is to take them to a more professional level. They will also receive more financial support, but they want to see better returns on their investment, that is why the meeting was imperative for us to map the way forward “said Green. Thanking the management for his appointment, Green said that he sees the new phase Namibian rugby is entering as an exciting challenge. "I have gained knowledge through years of experience in the game and am ready to plough back by making a difference in Namibia", he said
