Twelfth Desert Dash to kick off tomorrow

The 12th edition of the popular Desert Dash is set to kick off tomorrow afternoon at the Grove Mall in Windhoek’s Kleine Kuppe suburb. The world-renowned long distance cycling race takes place between Windhoek and Swakopmund every year, with cyclists from around the world cycling right through the evening to reach their final destination at the coast before their 24-hour cut off mark. Cyclists will start off the 396km race at the Grove Mall at 15H00 tomorrow afternoon, taking on the Kupferberg pass and pass through the Namib Desert, ending at the popular Tiger Reef Beach Bar. After a long race, the prize giving and lucky draw ceremony will take place in the Finisher Tent as of 16H00.
