The Welwitschias who lost to the Blue Bulls, 73 - 20, at Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria, South Africa this past weekend, will be hoping to close the gap on the score board this coming weekend, when they take on the Golden Lions. In last year's encounter against the Golden Lions, the visitors walked away unscathed against a much weaker Welwitschias squad at the Hage Geingob Stadium, beating the hosts 84 - 0. This year Head coach Lyn Jones is confident of a much better score line, come Saturday. Coach Lyn Jones said "It's importuned when you take on such big team as the Lions who are a fully professional side you must have a plan so we are working towards finding some weaknesses the Lions might have …. Also show up and more important show what game we have and become better at it and more accurate at it." With a confident coach and the team looking forward to the challenge from the Lions - one thing is for sure, come Saturday the Welwitschias will have to dig deep, if they want to feature on the scoreboard.
