Oshakati-Oshakati based Young Chiefs were relegated from the Namibia Premier League after suffering a 2-1 home defeat against Unam. After beating Citizens 2-0 on Saturday, Young Chiefs needed to beat Unam on Sunday at all cost to maintain their NPL status for next season, but they failed to do so. "I hope we remain together as a team in order to fight our way back to the elite league. Being relegated does not mean we were weak. We ended the campaign with more than 30 points which is very up normal for a team to be relegated with that amount of points", said Coach Cascas Angula. Young Chiefs joined the NPL in the 2015/16 campaign. The other two relegated teams from the NPL are Rundu Chiefs and Chiefs Santos. Here is the final NPL results.
