Young Gladiators ready for Zebras test

The Young Gladiators are dedicated to their last stretch of preparations ahead of the 2020 FIFA Women's U20 World Cup Qualifiers this weekend against Botswana. The team has been training at the NFA Technical Centre. Young Gladiators' coach Mammie Kasaona said her players are ready to face Botswana and that she is looking for a positive result in the first leg. Kasaona believes there's a positive vibe present in the camp and that she's happy about the support from the NFA Executive. “The mood is very positive in the camp and we are actually looking forward to the game on Sunday. We are asking for the nation to come in numbers” Kasaona said. Kasaona added that they have a couple of under 17 players as part of the team to give them exposure and experience. The team captain Julia Rutjindo is also confident that they are ready. All they want now is for Namibians to come and support them. “We thank NFA and Women's Department for this opportunity, because without them this could not be possible, Yes the girls are very ready, the vibe is good in the camp and everything is going so well” Rutjindo The match is set to take place at the Sam Nujoma Stadium on Sunday afternoon with kick-off scheduled for 17:00.
