Oshiwambo language final-year students at the University of Namibia (UNAM) hosted a cultural festival called Oshipe as part of their continuous assessment marks.

The University of Namibia (UNAM) southern campus has celebrated the significant research progress and output of its more than N$130 million Rhino-Halliburton Technology Centre, highlighting its role in driving research excellence. 

The Ministry of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts and Culture said it is committed to ensuring that Namibian institutions of higher learning do more than teach but transform.

The University of Namibia (UNAM) has identified the need to align its curriculum with the demands of current and future trends, as well as emerging industries in the age of rapid technological advancements, artificial intelligence, and the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

The Deputy Minister of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts, and Culture, Dino Ballotti, has said the ministry is stepping up efforts to protect Namibia's indigenous languages. 

Over 3,800 students have graduated from the University of Namibia (UNAM) across its combined campuses this year. Graduation ceremonies are scheduled to take place over the next two days in the capital.

The Hai||om community has raised concerns about persistent challenges in the education sector, particularly the lack of adequate funding for students to further their studies.

Members of the National Council are calling for free tertiary education and improved access to financial assistance for all students.

The Namibia National Students' Organization (NANSO) officially opened its General Students Council meeting under the theme: "Reigniting Radical Purpose and Student Solidarity: A Call to Action for Student Leadership."

The Minister of Higher Education, Technology, and Innovation, Dr. Itah Kandjii-Murangi, has tabled the Namibia Financial Assistance Fund (NSFAF) Amendment Bill in Parliament.
