The number of teenage pregnancies in the Ohangwena Region is alarming.

Authorities report over 9,000 cases between January 2022 and April this year.

These girls were all under the age of 19.

Escalating cases of Gender-Based Violence (GBV), teenage pregnancies and drug abuse have resulted in committees being set up at Outjo in the Kunene Region to help bring the situation under control before it gets completely out of hand.
