Khorixas Mayor Lesley Awaseb has observed that the delivery of housing and land for residents is progressing steadily in the town.

The Okongo Village Council is making strides in land delivery, particularly for housing and business development. 

The Council has since launched a five-year strategic plan prioritising land delivery, socio-economic development activities and good governance.

Housing and land delivery emerged as a top priority as the City of Windhoek began its annual strategic review and budget session for the 2026/2027 financial year, assessing progress under the municipality's 2022-2027 Strategic Plan.

She argued that land delivery is one of the critical enablers of development in any town.
