MICT tables over N$650 million budget for consideration

The Minister Information and Communication Technology (MICT), Dr. Peya Mushelenga, has tabled an amount of more than N$650 million for consideration in the National Assembly on Tuesday.

In his motivation, Dr. Mushelenga emphasized the need to coordinate and formulate strategies that will propel Namibians into an informed society.

The largest share of this allocation of more than N$484 million will go to the audiovisual media and regional offices.

Central Procurement Board of Namibia to pronounce itself on N$650 million health tender

The Central Procurement Board of Namibia (CPBN) says it will soon pronounce itself on the controversial health tender, for which more than N$650 million was awarded to one company.

Should the board's decision be upheld, Amnics Trading, owned by businessman Shapwa Kanyama, will package condoms at a cost of more than $100 million.

The awarding of the multi-million dollar tender shocked the nation and sent the community into a social media frenzy.
