The Ministry of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports and Culture has launched the Norms and Standards Framework for Schools in Namibia, including the National Minimum Standard Operating Procedures for Hostels

Junior MPs in the National Council voiced their worries about government schools' poor infrastructure as well as a lack of hostels, highlighting their impact on the learning environment. 

Education is often referred to as the key to a successful future, and it is compulsory for a Namibian child.

Before independence, it was an achievement in the Kavango Region for one to produce good results. Schools in the Kavango Region were constructed based on traditional jurisdictions.
