Namibia's infant mortality rate declined by just over 3% over the past two years.

This was revealed by the Ministry of Health and Social Services' Executive Director Ben Nangombe.

The high unemployment rate among the youth continues to be a serious burden for the |Khomas Region.

The chairperson of the |Khomas Regional Council says the region's unemployment rate stands at 31.5%.

Popular Democratic Movement (PDM) MP, Mike Venaani, has introduced a motion aimed at urgently addressing the high crime rate in Namibia, emphasising the critical need to reduce crime and ensure the safety of the Namibian people.

A lack of parental involvement in their children's education is said to be one of the reasons for the high failure rate last year.

This was expressed by many of the Junior National Council members during their second sitting in Windhoek.
