Namibia strengthens response capacity to public health emergencies

Namibia continues to strengthen its preparedness, readiness and response efforts to public health emergencies.

Following the devastating effects of COVID-19, the Ministry of Health and Social Services (MoHSS) with the support of the World Health Organization (WHO) embarked on the establishment of a National Emergency Medical Team as an effort to strengthen Emergency Care systems in the country.

Namibia is the third country in Africa to embark on the establishment of her own National EMT.
