Ruacana residents, under the leadership of senior traditional authority councillor Hilma Murumendu, called for an urgent meeting with the Omusati Governor, Erginus Endjala, to help mediate the land dispute between them and the Ruacana Town Council.
The Nkurenkuru and Ruacana Town Councils have stepped up cooperation between the two local authorities by renewing an existing memorandum of agreement.
Rundu and Ruacana have agreed to partner up in various areas of cooperation.
This comes after the two town councils renewed their cooperation through a memorandum of understanding at Rundu.
The great Omusati Region, like many others, has seen significant growth and development since the country's independence.
