Police say their calls to seek clarity from prosecutors regarding the provisional withdrawal of the murder case of 31-year-old Keetmanshoop resident Elleste Plaatjie have been met with silence.

Plaatjie's murder case was provisionally withdrawn at the Keetmanshoop Magistrate's Court on September 2nd.

The Keetmanshoop Magistrate's Court has struck off the court roll a murder case in which two police officers were implicated in the death of Elleste Plaatjies.

Walvis Bay Police Officer Bartholomeus Shindimba made his first appearance in Walvis Bay Magistrates Court after a phone belonging to Vernon John Gavin, who was killed on December 30, was found in his possession.

He was granted bail of N$1,000.

The murder suspect in the death of Auguste Ndemupanda Jonas, 31-year-old Prostatius Kuuvilwa, has been remanded in custody.

Kuuvila, who is accused of murdering his 28-year-old ex-girlfriend, appeared in the Otjiwarongo Magistrate's Court on Wednesday.
