Finland's President, Sauli Niinistö, has arrived in Namibia on a state visit.

Presidents Hage Geingob and Niinistö will hold discussions on how to enhance bilateral trade between the two countries, among others.

The visit is reciprocal, following a visit by the Namibian Vice President to Finland in 2019.

It also forms part of Finland's engagement with Africa and is part of its strategic goal of growing connections with Africa, which includes extending its diplomatic presence, supporting the African agenda, and boosting commercial links.
