The Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) will grant an opportunity to registered voters who have lost or damaged their voter cards to apply for duplicate cards between 18 and 26 November.

This will be done countrywide at polling stations.

The Regional Electoral Officer in Omaheke, Josef Amwaandi, is pleased with the ongoing general voter registration in the region, despite some challenges from the systems on which the IT department is working. 

Political parties contesting the upcoming Keetmanshoop Rural Constituency by-election have expressed dissatisfaction after the Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) issued a media statement announcing the issuance of duplicate voter cards for residents on the eve of the elections.
