Ghanaian tourists arrive under Tourism and Business pilot initiative

In order to establish a network of Africans who share a passion for Intra-Africa Tourism, Travel and Trade, a group of 21 Ghanaian tourists arrived in Namibia today under the Tourism and Business pilot initiative, "November in Namibia."

The initiative aims to build Namibia's tourism industry in the spirit of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and "Africa we Want", and is part of the implementation process of the Memorandum of Understanding on Tourism between Namibia and Ghana.

Better support needed for small businesses to gain maximum benefit from AfCFTA

The United Nations Development Programme Resident Representative in Namibia, Alka Bhatia, has encouraged scaling up support to the informal sector, and micro, small, and medium enterprises, to improve their capacity.

This, she says, will maximise the gains that the southern African region can expect from the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

African countries called to contribute to African Continental Free Trade Area

The Chairperson of the Africa Union (AU) has called on African countries to play their role by contributing to the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) for the continent to gain economic independence.

The Comorian President was speaking at a media briefing at the 2nd Ordinary Session of the 6th Parliament of the Pan Africa Parliament being held in Midrand, South Africa.

Speaking through a translator, Azali Assoumani encouraged African legislators to establish appropriate conditions to promote socio-economic development in Africa through the AfCFTA.
