Institutions urged to promote career guidance

The Minister of Education, Arts and Culture, Anna Nghipondoka, has stressed that career guidance programmes should provide learners with information based on the needs of the country.

Nghipondoka was speaking at the Ritja Career Fair at Otjiwarongo.

Career paths or fairs are becoming popular across the country to help learners make informed decisions about their future studies and career paths.

Lack of career guidance in many secondary schools in Namibia a concern

The Ministry of Basic Education, Arts, and Culture has expressed concern over the lack of career guidance in many secondary schools throughout the country.

This concern was brought to light by Education Minister Anna Nghipondoka during a regional consultation meeting held in Otjiwarongo with school principals from the Otjozondjupa Region.

The meeting was attended by nearly 50 school principals and heads of departments.
