NUNW celebrates women in leadership

As the world marks International Women's Day today, the National Union of Namibian Workers (NUNW) celebrates women under the theme "Inspiring Women in Leadership Inclusivity." 

Vice President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, who addressed the occasion, highlighted the strides Namibia has taken in empowering women.

Nandi-Ndaitwah commended Namibia for the progress made thus far to advance women.

National Skills Competition testifies Namibia is moving towards self-reliance

Over 150 talented competitors from across the country have gathered to showcase their skills in a wide range of trades, including hairdressing, bricklaying, woodwork, hospitality, and many more, for the 3rd edition of the National Skills Competition.

Speaking during the official opening, the Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Technology, and Innovation said the competition is a clear testament that Namibia is fast moving towards self-reliance through robust technical skills.

Namibia, India explore ways to address poverty, inequality, and unemployment

Namibia and India are exploring ways to address the challenges of poverty, inequality, and unemployment in both countries.

Since establishing diplomatic relations 33 years ago, the cooperation between Namibia and India has deepened, with India providing extensive support in promoting the socio-economic development of Namibia.

India has been actively involved in training Namibians in various fields, including diplomacy, information technology, healthcare, education, and agriculture.
