Leaders of the Southern African Development Community (SADC) gathered in Harare on Friday to discuss the worsening security crisis in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).

The East African Community (EAC) has called on the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) government to engage all stakeholders, including M23 rebels and other armed groups, to address the ongoing conflict in the east.

The Southern African Development Community's Ministers of Health (SADC) held a virtual meeting on Wednesday to discuss the status of monkey pox in the region.

The meeting wanted to evaluate the epidemiological outlook of Mpox and assess its impact on public health across member states. 

Namibia’s Minister of Mines and Energy, Tom Alweendo, met with his Angolan counterpart on Monday to discuss the progress made on the Baynes Binational Hydro Power Project.

African leaders, including Vice President Nangolo Mbumba, who attended the Quadripartite Summit, have decided to institutionalise the platform to continue to harmonise consultations on peace efforts in the eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).
