The United Nations in Namibia says it is streamlining the work of its several agencies.

UN Resident Coordinator Hopolang Phororo spoke to nbc News following a courtesy call on President Hage Geingob at State House.

The UN has twenty agencies in Namibia, including the World Health Organisation, the Food and Agriculture Organisation, UNAIDS, and UNESCO.

Each specialised agency has a specific mandate, supporting Namibia's development priorities articulated in the National Development Plans, Harambee Prosperity Plan, and Vision 2030.
