ICT presents opportunities for lasting positive change

Information and communication technology represents an enormous opportunity to introduce significant and lasting positive change across the developing world.

This was the view of the Minister of Information, Communication, and Technology, Dr. Peya Mushelenga, when he addressed staff at their annual start of the year meeting.

Dr. Mushelenga stated that the rapid penetration of mobile access has resulted in considerable improvements in the lives of the poor in both rural and urban settings.

Celebrating New Year for the outgoers in Otjiwarongo was almost impossible as the police dispersed crowds' at different socialising outlets.

The night was tranquil for those who spent New Year's Eve and crossed into 2024 at church or at their homes.

National Youth Climate Change Summit

The Founder and Executive Director of the National Youth Climate Action Network of Namibia, Toini Amutenya, has called on the youth to establish fora and join networks in their respective communities that speak to the climate change agenda.

She made the call in an interview with nbc News at the National Youth Climate Change Summit in Windhoek.

The Summit aims to give youth a platform to talk about how their lives are affected by climate change.
