The Sinomine Tsumeb Smelter has added more mining activities as a means to create new skills.

Speaking at the Tsumeb Copper Festival, Deputy Minister of Industrialisation and Trade Verna Sinimbo said the youth are required to acquire these skills for Namibia to become an industrialised nation.

This was said by the town's chief executive officer, Victoria Kapenda.

Since last year, Tsumeb residents have been having serious water issues as a result of underground water contamination.

Tsumeb vendors set to receive new trading area

Vendors in Tsumeb are set to trade with greater ease following the construction of an open market by the municipality along the town's main road.

Construction started in 2019 and is nearly fully complete, save for a few more touch-ups.
