Prime Minister Elijah Ngurare is pleased with the progress made by the community garden project in Otjombinde, which aims to assist with food security for local soup kitchens and create jobs for many unemployed young people.

The Omaheke Region has registered 11 new cases of malnutrition and one death during the months of July and August, while 45 children under the age of five died from malnutrition-related conditions in the region this year.

The Deep Sea Company has donated boxes of dried fish, cooking oil, and 152 bags of maize meal that will be distributed to 18 local soup kitchens that feed vulnerable children.
