Repo rate remains unchanged

The Monetary Policy Committee of the Bank of Namibia has again decided to keep its repo rate unchanged at 7.5%.

The Bank of Namibia says the decision follows a comprehensive review of global, regional, and domestic economic developments.

Over 80 residents residing in a riverbed left destitute

Over 80 residents residing in a riverbed in Windhoek's Freedom Square were left destitute after 33 of their man-made shacks burned to the ground around midnight last night.

The fire left one resident seriously injured and admitted to intensive care at Katutura State Hospital.
