RA creates awareness on Mobile Vehicle Testing Station

The Roads Authority (RA) is on a road trip to create awareness about the Mobile Vehicle Testing Station.

nbc News team visited the Otjiwarongo Roadlock, where about six vehicles were tested.

The Roads Authority will be touring every corner of the country with a mobile vehicle testing station to bring services closer to the people while creating awareness at the station.

If the vehicle is not compliant in terms of road worthiness, it might be subjected to suspension, and if minor faults are found on the vehicle, owners will be advised to attend to the defects.

Tsumkwe opens new NaTIS center

The Roads Authority continues to break new ground and bring services closer to the people. 

So far, it has opened  two new NaTIS centers, the latest being at Tsumkwe.


The development pace at Tsumkwe is visibly picking up, and the opening of a NaTIS center here is one that the community has been waiting for. 

For far too long, the community traveled over 300 kilometers for vehicle registration and driver and learner license testing at Grootfontein.

With a rich historical backdrop and a strategic location along the B1 national road and Trans Caprivi highway, Otjozondjupa's governor emphasised the need for increased economic activities to foster development in Otavi. Governor James Uerikua made these remarks during the inauguration of the NaTis learner licence testing and driving licence renewal centre in the town.
