The Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation says it will maintain its mutual cooperation with Namibia, noting satisfaction with a substantial increase in bilateral delegation exchanges, particularly among the ministries of health, education, defence, and justice. 

'Parliament on Wheels' brings legislature closer

The National Assembly has launched its "Parliament on Wheels" initiative at Rehoboth. 

The lower house unveiled its state-of-the-art Parliament Bus, which will embark on journeys across the country and reach out to local communities.

MPs capacitated for 2024-25 National Budget

Members of Parliament workshopped on the 2024–25 National Budget to enhance their capacity and ability to analyse it and make well-informed contributions. 

In a speech delivered on his behalf, Speaker Peter Katjavivi emphasised that the workshop was in alignment with the theme "Year of Expectations."

Tension runs high in NA over provision of sanitary pads

Tensions ran high in the National Assembly on Wednesday as the Deputy Minister of Education, Faustina Caley, raised objections to the tabling of a private member's bill proposing to regulate the provision of free sanitary materials to schoolgirls.

The bill was proposed by PDM Leader McHenry Venaani.
