ICJ orders Israel to avoid acts of genocide in Gaza

The International Court of Justice has ruled in favour of South Africa's request for emergency measures in its genocide case against Israel.

While the 17 judges of the ICJ did not rule on the allegations of genocide, a majority decision of the court did order Israel, among others, to take steps to prevent acts of genocide in its war in Gaza.

The court, however, did not order a ceasefire but requested that Israel allow humanitarian aid into Gaza.

Namibia condemns Germany's support of Israel's carnage in Gaza

Namibia has condemned Germany for supporting Israel in its genocidal acts in Gaza.

Germany expressed its support for the attacks on Friday, as Israel was defending itself against South Africa's case at the International Court of Justice (ICJ), accusing it of genocide and calling for the ICJ to stop the Jewish State from continuing its war in Gaza.

South Africa told the court in The Hague that Israel is busy with the destruction of infrastructure in Gaza and of the Palestinian people.

Namibia expresses support for South Africa's genocide case against Israel

South Africa's case to end Israel's allegation of genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip has started at the International Criminal Court in the Hague.

The case that was launched by South Africa in December calls for an end to alleged genocidal acts by Israel and the people of Gaza.

In this case, South Africa calls on Israel to prevent genocide against the people of Gaza. The legal team argued that Israeli leaders' statements are intended to destroy Gaza and its people.

UNSC urged to act swiftly in Israel-Palestine conflict

President Hage Geingob has called on the UN Security Council to act swiftly and ensure that resolutions regarding the rights of the people of Palestine to live in peace are respected and for them to determine their own future.

Dr. Geingob, in a statement, further appealed for peace between Israel and Palestine and called for an end to the killing of innocent civilians and the destruction of infrastructure in the occupied Gaza Strip.

The surprise attack by Hamas militants on Israel and some of its military installations has resulted in a declaration of war on Palestine, particularly the Gaza strip controlled by Hamas.

More than 1,300 people have been killed as Israel pummels Gaza, and battles continue between Hamas fighters and Israeli soldiers.

The United States and its western allies announced support for Israel and pledged further weapons and military assistance to Israel.
